Why In Between Ballgames?  The writings found in this blog are mostly written in between ballgames. What seems like endless hours as a sports taxi is turning into precious years passing much too quickly.  In learning to capture what is truly important, my desire is to invest in my boys, their lives and their ballgames, while connecting with family and friends, the people of West Ridge Church and women in ministry, particularly church planting.  This blog contains excerpts from my life, my thoughts, my experiences and things that God is teaching me along the way.

Hi, Amy. I was at the building yesterday giving Jake a ride home from work and ran into Brian. I told him I had stumbled upon his blog while reading Jake’s. Brian suggested that I visit your blog. The passage from Isaiah 40 fell so fresh on me. “How can you say the LORD does not see your troubles?…Don’t you know that the LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth: He never grows faint or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to those who are worn out; He offers strength to the weak.” I needed that reminder. It was greatly encouraging to me as I am so weak and broken right now. One thing that God has been gracious enough to reveal to me in the midst of all the pain is that He wants me to pray–a lot–unceasingly. I am studying a lot right now trying to hear what God is saying, but I know that God can use me right where I am, and I know He is calling me to pray for you and your family, all those on our staff/their families, our church, communitly, nation and world. Thank you for your prayers for our church/our world. What a great kinship to share–the call to prayer. While driving Alec to all of her soccer practices and games, I will feel another kind of kinship with you 😉
    Many blessings to you!!
